Disciples are not formed by sitting in classrooms passively consuming information; they are forged through action in the field followed by deep, communal reflection. Drawing from experiential adult learning theory and Jesus' own training methods, Smith champions the Action-Reflection cycle as the bedrock of missional training. A reader learns to push past the paralysis of over-planning, take bold missional risks, and gather with mentors to appraise their experiences through the lens of Scripture.
